Take Up
and Read.
Welcome to my study. I wanted to have a little place where we can go a bit deeper together. I believe theological depth helps us grow in our spiritual maturity. As we learn and grow, our minds are renewed (Rom. 12:2) to discern the will of God, as we transform into our newly created selves.
One of my particular theological interests is in the field of Old Testament biblical theology. The Old Testament is no mere collection of books but bears the marks of a highly organized structure, with themes that emerge and grow across the canon. From this growth, we can trace a trajectory that culminates in Christ’s work on the cross and the New Creation he inaugurates in his coming. Truly, Jesus came to make “all things new” (Rev. 21:5).
Beyond the inspired Scripture, we have been blessed with a rich theological heritage through the enduring theological witnesses of our church fathers. If we are careful to study their works, we can build on their legacies as we further our knowledge of both Scripture and the world God created.
I want to invite everyone to further study. Below, you’ll see links to some of my favorite resources. If you have further questions about our theological growth, please feel free to reach out to my office.
