Missions - Local and Global

At GCC, we believe that mission work is a top priority. Jesus commissioned His church with these famous words found in Matthew 28:18-20. "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

We seek to achieve this mission by supporting local and foreign missionaries who spend their lives working to extend the Kingdom and the glory of our God. Please join us in prayer and support of these people:

  • Samaritan's Purse Trips

GCC also supports members taking short term mission trips. Over the past several years our members have helped with disaster relief in New Orleans, LA; Tuscaloosa, AL; West Liberty, KY; Nashville, TN; Tom's River, NJ; and Louisville, MS. These are incredible opportunities to serve, they cost nothing to attend, and if you are interested, just keep your ears open for the announcement when it comes.

  • Youth Trips

Our middle and high school students love to serve and enjoy a week away from home with their friends. So every summer, we plan a week-long trip to a different location where we serve by working and spreading the Gospel, and then usually do something fun for the last day of the trip, like the beach or an amusement park. We try to fundraise throughout the year to prepare to offset the cost of these trips. If you have children who are interested in these trips, email Jacob.

I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?"
