Sunday Morning Services

Early Service: On Sunday mornings we offer a traditional worship service with hymns and a message from the Word. Though it is smaller in attendance than our later service, you will notice that this group of people is extremely welcoming and loving. If you enjoy the atmosphere of a traditional church service, feel free to join us at 9:00 AM.


Sunday School: Following our Traditional service, we have multiple Sunday School classes available for all ages. During Sunday School we are able to dive deeper into the Word of God and also share more intimate fellowship with other believers in smaller group settings. You can call the church for more details about specific classes. Sunday School begins at 10:10 AM. 


Later Service: As soon as Sunday School ends, we head over to the sanctuary for our second worship service. If you enjoy a full worship band leading music and a larger crowd, then this service is for you! Feel free to join us for the contemporary service at 11:00 AM.

Evening Services

Wednesday Nights: Nearly every Wednesday evening, GCC offers unique studies in the Bible. Bible studies are typically year round for our adults, and you will find that they are very relaxed and welcoming to anyone. Come eat some snacks and study God's Word with us. Wednesday evening studies begin at 6:30 PM and last approximately one hour.


Childcare is provided during the school year.

Student Ministry

Boasting in our weakness, to the glory of God.


At GCC we value our students as vital members of a healthy church. It is our aim to provide these students with all of the tools necessary to create a generation that is passionate about God's Kingdom. We will train and equip students from junior high, high school, and college to be ready for any challenge that God may have for them. We know that God created this world and all that is in it, and it is our prayer that He will lead us to the ends of that world with the message of hope found in Jesus Christ!  


We meet during the school year on Sunday and Wednesday nights, and we have youth activities throughout the summer. Children's Ministry

At GCC our children’s ministry is a top priority! We have made it our ambition to win the next generation to Christ and to raise a generation of spiritual champions! If you are a member of our church you already know (and if you visit, you’ll quickly observe) the emphasis we place upon ministry to children.


Nursery Ministry: We offer a nursery for children under the age of two during our Sunday School hour, Sunday morning, and Sunday evening services. In the nursery, children have their first experiences at church. It is our intention for these early experiences to be positive ones. Our nursery exists to provide a safe, friendly and loving environment in which children can develop physically, emotionally and spiritually.


Preschool Ministry: Our preschool ministry is divided into two sections: 2 & 3 year olds and 4-6 year olds. This area of ministry introduces young children to the basic truths of Scripture using a variety of creative techniques. Children learn in a fun and exciting environment through songs, crafts, games and the guidance of their loving teachers. Our preschool ministry is laying a firm foundation for future years of spiritual growth. Preschool classes meet at 10:10 AM and 10:50 AM every Sunday.


Kid's Church: Our elementary school ministry is geared towards first through fifth grade students. For this age group we have Sunday School at 10:10 AM. Following Sunday School, we have Kid's Church, a high-energy, interactive, media-driven class that combines games, contemporary worship, creative Bible teaching, and Scripture memorization. Kid's Church meets on Sunday mornings at 10:50 AM.  


Safe and Secure: Our goal is to provide a safe and secure environment for every child. That's why all entrances are locked from the outside and we carefully screen volunteers before they step into the classroom. We have also developed a well-mapped-out emergency exit plan on how to get the kids out of the building quickly.


Healthy Kids Policy: At the first signs of illness (fever in the last 24 hours, a questionable rash, nasal discharge, diarrhea or conjunctivitis), please keep your child at home. Your child will be more comfortable there and this will also prevent other children from becoming sick. Should your child become ill while in our care, we will notify you promptly.

Senior Saints

Our Senior Saints get together once a month to encourage and spend time with one another. They always have a lot of fun (as you can see in this picture where couples are trying to pop balloons) and they'd love for you to be part of this great ministry! Trips to restaurants, fun attractions, potluck meals, game nights at church, and outdoor barbecues are some of the events that our Senior Saints host throughout the year. Anyone is welcome, although the group is designed to include seniors. Maybe you are looking for a group of fun-loving and joyful Christians to eat with and joke around with. Sports Ministry

We participate with other local churches in a few different sports:


Indoor and Sand Volleyball. We have lots of church members (men and women) who play volleyball both at The Root as well as on our own regulation sand volleyball pit behind the church facilities. Just ask around, and someone can steer you in the right direction if you want to play.


Men's and Women's Softball. Softball season for 2020 will be here before you know it. If you are interested in joining, or you need info about the games and schedules, please contact our church office.


Bowling. We will be finishing up our church bowling league on Tuesday nights this Spring. It is a 35 week committment, but it is a great chance to spend one evening every week with people from numerous other churches in our area. Contact the church office if you are interested. We have a men's team, women's team, and mixed team.


Ultimate Frisbee. We play just about every Sunday afternoon in the Spring, Summer, and Fall at the Gallipolis City Park. The games start at 4 pm. We would love to see you there. Anyone and everyone is welcome.
